Dr. Melissa Magnotta

I have over 12 years of experience as a veterinarian, specializing in general medicine, surgery, community, and shelter medicine. I am certified in Fear Free practices, which prioritize your pet's emotional and mental well-being, ensuring that procedures like nail trims, vaccinations, and blood draws do not hinder their access to quality care. Additionally, as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian, I focus on supporting both animals and their owners during life's final stages, aiming to enhance comfort and create more joyful moments together.

I am committed to ongoing education and community service, recently volunteering a week in the Dominican Republic to provide free surgical and medical care. I also collaborate with rescues, municipal shelters, and individuals experiencing homelessness to offer veterinary services.

I graduated from Oklahoma State University for veterinary school and earned my undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac University. I share my life with two rescue dogs, Bailey, a spirited senior with a penchant for chocolate, and Milo, a dedicated sunbather.

Our Mission

Personalized Attention: I dedicate time to genuinely listen to your concerns and learn about your pet's life story, beyond just their symptoms. This thorough understanding allows me to create a health strategy that is uniquely tailored to them.

Stress-Free Home Visits: By offering veterinary care in the comfort of your home, I reduce the anxiety and fear often linked to traditional vet clinics, providing a more peaceful experience for your pet.

Collaborative Care Planning: Together, we will develop a treatment plan that aligns with your comfort level, budget, and lifestyle. I believe in adapting this plan as necessary to always prioritize your pet’s best interests.

Convenience for Your Busy Life: Acknowledging the demands of your daily routine, I help set realistic goals and manage your pet's therapy, making pet care fit seamlessly into your other commitments.

Emotional Support: I understand the emotional challenges of caring for a sick pet. With Co-Pilot, you’re never alone; I’m here to support you at every step, providing not just medical care but emotional reassurance.

Holistic Treatment Options: I utilize a combination of conventional medicine, supplements, and physical therapy to deliver comprehensive care, adjusting to what best supports your pet's recovery and well-being.

Affordable, High-Quality Care: Quality veterinary care should be accessible. I aim to provide comprehensive services that are affordable, ensuring every pet receives the care they deserve without financial burden.
